🍔 The Inspiration

When I think of summer, I think of grilled food, gingham tablecloths, ice-cold lemonade, and the happy buzz of backyard gatherings. I wanted to bring that scene to life in card form — and Anna Griffin’s beautifully detailed dies were just what I needed to make it happen.

This card has flip-open panels, layers of picnic-perfect details, and a warm, cheerful vibe that’s great for so many occasions.

✂️ What I Used

  • Anna Griffin Flip Card Die Set

  • Assorted Anna Griffin summer die cuts (grill, food, banners, florals)

  • Patterned papers from Anna Griffin Basket

  • Foam tape for added dimension

  • Cricut machine (optional for custom embellishments) Sentiment

  • Adhesive gems & ribbon: additional suggestions

🧰 Step-by-Step Highlights

1. Build the Base

Using the Flip Card Die, I cut the card base out of sturdy cardstock from Anna's Basket collection, or try a red gingham pattern for that classic picnic table look.

2. Create the Scene

I layered die cuts to build the BBQ scene — including a grill, tools, burger, bottles and even a cooler.  I even added some floral accents for a pop of color.

3. Add Sentiments

Inside the flip section, I added a cheerful message using Anna Griffin sentiment strips. This card would be adorable for, a summer theme, or even a party invitation.

4. Finishing Touches

Some foam tape behind the grill and food items gave the card a nice 3D effect. A few sparkle embellishments and a ribbon bow finished it off perfectly!
