πŸͺ‘ DIY Craft Table Build | Sewing Station | Perfect for Small Spaces! | Cricut Station With Storage from Amazon

πŸͺ‘ DIY Craft Table Build | Sewing Station | Perfect for Small Spaces! | Cricut Station With Storage from Amazon

If you’re like me, you know how important it is to have a dedicated craft space that works for both sewing and Cricut projects—without taking over the entire room! Today I’m excited to share my DIY Craft Table Build, a project that combines functionality, organization, and style, all in one.

Whether you’re short on space or just looking for a cleaner, more organized setup, this table is perfect for creating a multi-purpose station with plenty of storage.

✨ Why I Built This DIY Craft Table

I wanted something that would:

  • Work as a sewing station with enough room for my machine and tools.

  • Double as a Cricut station so I can quickly switch between projects.

  • Offer hidden storage solutions for paper, vinyl, thread, and supplies.

  • Fit nicely in my small craft room without clutter, that also doubles as a guest room with a Murphy bed.

πŸ› ️ Materials & Products I Used

To keep things budget-friendly (and easy to assemble), I sourced most of the items from Amazon. Here’s what I used:

  • Modular Crafting Table Base – perfect for building a crafting work station.

  • Storage Bins & Baskets – Add for organizing Cricut vinyl, scrapbook paper, and fabric inside the cabinet.  A small cubby is added for scissors and notions.

🧡 Building the Table Step-by-Step

  1. Assemble the Base – I started by putting together the modular base of the table.

  2. Secure the Tabletop – A sturdy tabletop was placed over the base to create a flat work surface.

  3. Add Storage Accessories –Optional:  Use hanging file holders, bins, and baskets for organized storage.

  4. Set Up Sewing & Cricut Stations – You could divide the table so one side works for sewing and the other for Cricut cutting.

πŸ’‘ Tips for Small Spaces

  • Use vertical storage like shelves or wall racks to keep tools off the table.

  • Add a folding side extension for extra workspace when you need it.

  • Keep a rolling cart nearby for supplies you use often but don’t want cluttering the desktop.

🌟 Final Thoughts

This DIY Craft Table Build has completely transformed my small sewing and crafting space. Now I have a dedicated sewing station or Cricut station, with everything organized and within reach. It’s the perfect solution if you’re working with limited room but want a functional, stylish setup.

Sewing Room Reset | Thread Storage, Embroidery Hoop Organization & Modular Table in Action

🧡✨ Sewing Room Reset | Thread Storage, Embroidery Hoop Organization & Modular Table in Action

Every creative space needs a little refresh now and then—and my sewing room was definitely ready for one! In this week’s video, I’m tackling clutter, reorganizing my tools, and giving my sewing area a fresh new setup. This sewing room reset is all about making my space more functional, organized, and inspiring.

What’s Inside This Sewing Room Reset

Here’s what I worked on in this refresh:

– πŸͺ‘ Over-the-Door Pocket Organizer
Perfect for storing large thread spools, spray starch, and other tall supplies that don’t quite fit in bins or drawers.

– 🧡 93-Spool Thread Holder
I finally assembled a dedicated rack to keep both my sewing and embroidery threads neat, visible, and accessible. No more digging through tangled spools!

– 🎯 Embroidery Hoop Storage Hack
I repurposed an over-the-door file folder holder to keep my embroidery hoops organized and easy to grab. It’s such a simple but effective storage solution.

– πŸ› ️ Modular Sewing Table in Action
Remember the modular sewing/crafting table I assembled in last week’s video? This time, I’m putting it to the test with a sewing project—and I’m loving how functional it is!

Why This Reset Matters

For me, sewing isn’t just about creating beautiful projects—it’s also about enjoying the process. A clutter-free, organized room means less time searching for supplies and more time actually sewing. These small changes really add up to a more efficient and enjoyable creative space.

How to Make a Sofa Cover With a Blanket | Protect Your Couch From Pets πŸ›‹πŸΎ

How to Make a Sofa Cover With a Blanket | Protect Your Couch From Pets πŸ›‹πŸΎ

If you’re a pet owner, you know how quickly a sofa can collect fur, scratches, and everyday wear from your furry friends. Store-bought slipcovers can be expensive, and sometimes they don’t even fit right. That’s why I love this DIY solution—using a simple blanket to create a custom sofa cover that not only protects your couch but also gives your living room a cozy, stylish update.

This easy sewing idea is beginner-friendly and budget-friendly, making it the perfect weekend project.

Link for video at the end of the post.

Why Use a Blanket for a Sofa Cover?

  • Affordable – You can repurpose a blanket you already own or buy one that matches your dΓ©cor.

  • Washable – Just toss it in the laundry when it gets dirty.

  • Custom Fit – With a few simple stitches, you can make it stay in place and fit your couch perfectly.

  • Pet-Friendly – Protects against fur, scratches, and little accidents while keeping your sofa fresh.

What You’ll Need

  • A blanket (choose one big enough to cover your sofa)

  • Sewing machine or needle & thread

  • Measuring tape

  • Scissors

  • Pins or clips

  • Shelf Liner

Step-by-Step: How to Make Your DIY Sofa Cover

  1. Measure Your Sofa 🧡
Take measurements of your couch’s length, width, and depth. Add a few extra inches so the blanket can drape nicely.

  2. Choose the Right Blanket πŸ›‹
A thick cotton or fleece blanket works best. Avoid slippery fabrics that slide off too easily.

  3. Choose the Right Shelf Liner

  4. Pin and Adjust ✂️
Drape the blanket over your sofa and tuck it into the cushions. Use pins to mark where adjustments are needed.

  5. Sew the Edges πŸͺ‘
For a more fitted look, sew seams where the arms or cushions meet. If you want a no-sew version, you can even use fabric tape for quick adjustments.

  6. Secure in Place πŸ“Œ
Once finished, tuck the blanket edges tightly the sewn in liner will help keep it in place.

Extra Tips for Pet Owners 🐾

  • Wash your sofa cover regularly to keep fur and dander under control.

  • Choose a blanket color that hides pet fur (grays, browns, or patterns).

  • Keep a lint roller nearby for quick clean-ups.

Final Thoughts

This DIY sofa cover from a blanket is such a simple, affordable way to protect your couch from pets while still keeping your living space cozy and stylish. Whether you sew it for a snug fit or drape it loosely for easy washing, this project is sure to make life easier for any pet parent.

Have you tried making your own sofa cover? I’d love to hear your tips in the comments below!

Pop-Up Baby Card Winnie The Pooh | Did I Break My Empress Die Machine? | Anna Griffin Wiper Tutorial

Pop-Up Baby Card Winnie The Pooh | Did I Break My Empress Die Machine? | Anna Griffin Wiper Tutorial

Crafting baby cards is one of my favorite things to do—there’s just something extra sweet about creating a keepsake that will be treasured for years to come. In this post, I’m sharing how I made a Winnie the Pooh Pop-Up Baby Card using the Anna Griffin Wiper Card Die Set and my Empress die cutting machine. And yes… I even had a moment where I thought I broke my machine! (Spoiler alert: it survived πŸ˜…).

✂️ Supplies I Used

  • Anna Griffin Wiper Card Die Set

  • Anna Griffin Empress Die Cutting Machine

  • Winnie the Pooh themed scrapbook paper

  • Coordinating cardstock (pastels for a baby theme)

  • Foam tape and adhesive

  • Embellishments (bows, buttons, and stickers)

🐻 Why Winnie the Pooh?

Winnie the Pooh is such a timeless character, and it makes the perfect centerpiece for a baby card. The gentle colors and whimsical designs pair beautifully with Anna Griffin’s elegant wiper die style.

⚙️ The Empress Machine Moment

While running my layers through the Empress, I hit a snag and thought I had actually broken it! Luckily, it was just a too-thick sandwich of emboss/cut folder and cardstock. (Pro tip: always double-check your plate setup before you crank things through!).

πŸŽ‰ The Pop-Up Wiper Effect

The magic of this card is in the wiper mechanism. When the card is opened, a little panel pops up—perfect for showcasing Winnie the Pooh and his friends. It adds such a fun interactive element that makes this card extra special.

πŸ’‘ Final Thoughts

This project reminded me of two things:

  1. The Empress is sturdier than it looks!

  2. Baby cards are the perfect way to combine playful themes with elegant die sets.

If you’re looking for a project that’s fun, interactive, and guaranteed to bring a smile, the Anna Griffin Wiper Card Die is a must-try.

πŸ“Ί Watch the Tutorial

I filmed the full step-by-step process for my YouTube channel so you can see exactly how I put it together (and the moment I panicked about breaking my Empress!).

DIY Craft Room Desk Makeover | Before and After | Craft Room Organization & Clean Up

DIY Craft Room Desk Makeover | Before and After | Craft Room Organization & Clean Up

If you’ve been dreaming of a clean, functional, and inspiring craft space, you’re going to love this DIY Craft Room Desk Makeover! In this before-and-after transformation, I took my messy, overstuffed workspace and turned it into an organized, creative hub that’s ready for crafting magic.

Whether your desk is drowning in paper scraps, covered in unfinished projects, or just not working for your space anymore, a makeover can make a huge difference. This project was all about function, flow, and freshness—and the results are a game-changer.

Before: The Messy Reality

I’ll be honest—my craft room desk had become more of a catch-all than a workspace. Piles of paper, scattered tools, and a lack of storage made it hard to focus and even harder to find what I needed. It was time to completely reset the space so I could enjoy crafting again.

The Makeover Process

1. Clear Everything Out

The first step was a complete clean-out. I removed everything from the desk area so I could start with a blank slate. This made it easier to see what space I actually had to work with.

2. Deep Clean

Once the clutter was gone, I gave the area a good clean—dusting, wiping surfaces, and making sure the desk felt fresh.

3. Smart Storage Solutions

I introduced storage that made sense for my craft supplies:

  • Drawer organizers for small tools and embellishments

I used this convenient appliance slider for my paper organizer to sit on.  It would also be great for your kitchen coffee maker.  You can find it here from Amaon: https://youtu.be/j0YVeniXc3w            I may make a small commission with this link.

  • Bins and baskets for paper, fabric, and bulky supplies

  • Reuse existing wire cube under the desk.

4. Desk Organization Layout

I rearranged my supplies so the items I use most often are within easy reach, while less-used items are stored neatly but out of the way.

5. A Creative Touch

I added a few decorative and personal touches—because even the most organized desk should feel inviting and inspire creativity.

After: The Fresh & Functional Space

The transformation is amazing! Now my desk feels open, organized, and ready for any project. Having a clear workspace makes crafting more enjoyable and much less stressful.

Tips for Your Own Desk Makeover

  • Start with a total reset—clear everything off

  • Use storage that fits your supplies and space

  • Keep frequently used items close at hand

  • Add decorative touches that inspire you

  • Maintain your space with a quick weekly tidy-up
